TMO rocks Tulsa Mayfest 2025
This year’s Tulsa Mayfest was a whirlwind of art, music, and hometown pride—and we’re still buzzing from the energy of sharing the stage with 75+ acts across the festival’s three-day celebration. As one of Oklahoma’s biggest free cultural events, Mayfest turned the Arts District into a melting pot of handmade crafts (including my wife Jillian’s booth full of her beautiful art and illustrations!), wonderful music performances, and crowds hungry for real in-person connection.
For The Makers Out, Mayfest was about one thing: Bloodlines / Hope, live and unfiltered. Under the lights of the Tulsa Arts District, we shared a moment in time with a mix of brand new listeners and longtime fans. It was proof we still need live-music spaces like this, familiar songs finding new life in the space between us and the crowd.

The Set: No Tricks, Just Art Rock
No gimmicks, no pyro, just the raw sound we’ve built this band on. Highlights included:
[Holy Water]: The one that always gets your foot tapping and eager to sing along (and our new radio favorite with over 500 spins!)
[Emerald Fireflies]: From the start of the groove to the haunting harmonies in the chorus, Emerald Fireflies is always a crowd favorite.
[All My Friends]: We debuted a groovy and sensual new tune called “All My Friends” that got people shaking their hips along to an expansive head trip. More on this song and many others in the future.

Huge thank you to everyone who came out, sang along, or even just stopped mid-funnel-cake to nod their head. Tulsa has always been home for us, and this year at Mayfest was no different.
What’s next? New music in 2026 and a few more shows to play this year. Keep an eye for TMO news!
Til next time,
-Scott
